Another AxelaCare Acquisition

Following the late 2013 acquisition of Sirona Infusion, AxelaCare is already bringing another company into its fold.  Backed by PE firm Harvest Partners, AxelaCare will strengthen its presence in California with the acquisition of privately owned ARC Infusion.  ARC specializes in providing infusion and injectable medications and supplies to patients in Southern California (Los Angeles and Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside counties).

Recognizing that managed care companies are looking to partners for national coverage and product diversity, it appears that growth is an AxelaCare priority.  Future announcements are likely based on a quote from AxelaCare CEO Ted Kramm:

"We are continuing to actively pursue acquisitions in California as well as other states to increase our geographic and product line diversification."

AxelaCare Finds Harvest Home

Founded in 2008, AxelaCare has been on a quick pace to becoming one of the country’s leading home infusion therapy providers.  Therapies provided range from immune globulin (IG) therapy to antibiotics and nutrition therapy.  Investment from Excellere Partners in 2010 aided AxelaCare’s innovation and tremendous growth - 30-40% per year.

AxelaCare’s management team and New York-based Harvest Partners, LP recently completed the acquisition of the company from Excellere.  Harvest’s senior managing director, Ira Kleinman noting, 

“The company’s [AxelaCare] investment in processes, technology and people has led to an efficient, scaleable model with opportunity for continued growth as a larger share of the population seeks access to these vital services.”

KRG Platform Investment...Infusion Therapy

A provider of home infusion therapy services, Home Solution Holdings LLC, was acquired by private equity firm KRG Capital Partners – reflecting another KRG health care platform investment.   In 2007, Flexpoint Ford recapitalized and combined two companies (Home Solutions and American Infusion Holdings) under the Home Solution banner.  Under leadership of founder Todd Timbrook, Home Solutions has grown to 400 professionals serving the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.  >> Read more  According to KRG managing partner Steve Neumann,
